My name is Kate Best and I have lived in Braintree, Massachusetts my whole life with my mom, my dad, and two sisters. In 2019 I graduated from Braintree High School and decided to continue my academic career at the University of Maine. As a first year student I came into my first semester with an undeclared major, as I wanted to explore my options and see what interested me. After first semester I decided I wanted to transfer into the business school, declaring a major in marketing and minor in graphic design. I am excited to see the opportunities the business school has to offer and further explore my interests.

Within this course, I hope to become more educated on information systems and the emerging technologies that are evolving within the business world. With this, I know I will be able to apply this knowledge to the real world as I further my career. With the technology around us constantly changing, this education and knowledge is essential in order to achieve success within the business world.
An interest of mine is being a part of Greek Life. Chi Omega has given me the opportunity to be more involved on campus and has given me a home away from home.
Alongside my major in marketing, one of my other interests is art, which is why I plan on minoring in graphic design. I have always enjoyed art which is why I have decided to incorporate it within the future of my career.
